1. Palay, Bigas, Kanin 1

Palay, Bigas, Kanin 1 is a musical-in-progress
with the following project phases:
• Creation – The initiating author (Nadera) prepares lyrical seeds and turned them over to Ayala, the musical director (MD).
• Composition – The MD either composed the songs fully or in part and distributed the lyrics and/or song seeds to other musician-performers for development.  The idea was to get broad representation from cultural energies in different parts of the country.. Read more...

2. Palay, Bigas, Kanin 3

PBK 3 is the "semilla, pampataba at pangangalaga" – the seed, fertilizer and nurturing for future community-based artistic and creative endeavor that may enrich the teaching-learning processes throughout the educational system. This work-in-progress features both an organic subject matter, rice – with all its intimate and multi-faceted resonances in our culture, and an organic creative process: lyrical and musical knowledge products produced from PBK 1, and case studies produced from PBK 2, will be distributed to specialists from the fields of governance, culture and economics, for "planting, nurturing and harvesting" as what we loosely call "monographs".. 3. Child and Adolescent Mental Health

• Group therapy for children with ADHD
In partnership with the Foundation for Advancing Wellness Instructional and Talents, Inc. (Foundation AWIT), the Section of Child and Adolescent PsYchiatry of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, Philippine General Hospital came up with a six-module program consisting of various group activities aimed at decreasing symptoms of hyperactivity, inattention, and impulsivity as well as in developing values formation and interpersonal skills.. 4. Arterapi

• Arterapi 1
ARTERAPI 1 is both interactive and collaborative. After each module of art sessions, persons with mental illness and their family members udergo a psychological processing on the experience of attending the art sessions. The end product is a collaborative artwork following the Fabric of Life format of visual artist and inventor Paz Abad Santos.. Read more...

• Clay Art Workshop
Foundation AWIT's Clay Art Workshop held last February 7-8, 2010 aimed to teach UPOU CWTS student volunteers clay art that they can use in future work with children. Facilitated by clay artist Baidy Mendoza, the workshop was held at the residence/gallery of visual artist Paz Abad Santos who curated the exhibit last February 27.. Read more...

Foundation for Advancing Wellness, Instruction and Talents, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit organization which aims to improve health, education and creative capacity of differently-abled persons through research and capacity building.

Who We Are

The foundation was established in memory of Awit Nadera (July 10, 2002 - December 13, 2006) who had hearing impairment, seizure disorder and global developmental delay.
